Dear Parents and Guardians,

The weather from last week made for an unpredictable school week, but it seems that the warming of the weather for this week will help keep us in for full days this week.

We had a successful week with the book fair. Students were able to purchase books and other items. I would like to thank the PTO for continuing to offer these opportunities to our students.

The fourth grade students completed the NAEP testing. I would like to thank the students for working diligently and being flexible with testing situation as we had to test on two separate dates due to the early dismissal.

On Friday, February 10th, kindergarten students will be completing the study of the alphabet letters. The last two letters, will be “Qq” and “Uu”. We will be having a wedding for Qq and its partner-Uu. Please plan to have your kindergarten child dress to impress for the wedding on Friday, February 10th.  You may send your child with sneakers or clothes to change into (for recess). We will be having a ceremony, snack, and reception (with dancing).

Dates to remember:

·         Tuesday, February 7th Grade 3 Morning Workouts 8:30 am

·         Wednesday, February 8th Invention Convention Grade 4 6:30-7:30 pm

·         Wednesday, February 8th PTO meeting 7:00pm

·         Friday, February 10th Q and U Ceremony Kindergarten “Dress to Impress”

I am looking forward to a wonderful week!

Deborah Osvald
