Weekly Wakelee
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Today Wakelee students and staff enjoyed the NED show! The NED Show is a character education program that centers around three important messages that have lifelong relevance: Never give up, Encourage others and Do your best. These messages will help our students prepare for upcoming SBAC and I Ready testing this spring. During the assembly, students learned about the importance of these three life skills while also enjoying storytelling, magic, humor and yo-yo tricks.
This is a FREE assembly. We are participating in a "PAY IT FORWARD" program in which we will be selling yoyos in the lobby before school Monday, April 9th through Thursday, April 12th. (forms with more information were sent home on Tuesday) This sale will help another school receive the NED program for free as well. Yo-yos are $8.00 for a Glow in the Dark NED yo-yo, $10 for an Auto-Return Boomerang yo-yo, $15 for the Professional, a professional ball bearing yo-yo, $5 for a yo-yo holster and $4 for a replacement string pack. Cash or checks made out to Wakelee School will be accepted for the sale. Student Council thanks you for your support! NOTE: there will be NO School Store on Tuesday, April 10th due to our NED yo-yo sale.
News From the Gym
We love working up a sweat in our gym, but many sweatshirts and other lost and found items have built up in the gym area! Please look through the items in the lost and found bucket if you think you're missing any items. Items will be donated during April Break, so make your lost item found today.
